Applications open for festival charity 2019

Applications have now opened for Worcester Music Festival’s chosen charity of 2019.

Every year, the festival choses to support a different local charity, raising money over the course of the musical weekend, which, in 2019, will take place across the 13-15 September in Worcester’s vibrant city centre. Applications must be in for Friday 25 January and the form can be found via the Worcester Music Festival’s website.

Last year the three-day celebration of music and art raised an astonishing £5307.15 for the Worcestershire Association of Carers. The total was a record breaker for the festival and they hope to raise even more in 2019.

Nikki Boraston, Festival Director, commented;

“Last year, the festival chose Worcestershire Association of Carers as our charity and it really was a great cause. So many people don’t realise they are a carer, or even know one, and being able to support the charities plight to provide some respite and support for carers was an honour.”

“Now, we’re focusing on next year. After such a phenomenal festival in September, we want to make 2019’s even better, and we need an important cause to support as we do it!”
